When you're in a tough spot and under a lot of stress it's hard to make smart decisions. Lawyers bombard you with mail offering you a "free" consultation. Many will say what you want to hear in order to get you to sign on the dotted line. It happened to me, and after a few days I realized I had made ...a mistake. No less than a retired judge recommended I call Ms. Jones. I was actually relieved when I learned that she charged a fee for a consultation because I knew she would be straight with me. We sat down with her very nice assistant Wendy, and for the first time I could ask every question I had without feeling rushed or pressured. She seemed genuinely compassionate.
