Response to Olga Y

Olga Y has posted a false, unfounded and malicious review. She knows better and it is a glaring example of her blaming everyone else but herself for the outcome of her case. No I never acted inappropriately toward her in any manner. Yes, I communicated with her Husband's lawyers in a professional ...manner representing her best interests and trying to resolve the case best for her and her children when she directed me to do so. Yes, she constantly changed her mind and the direction of her case, all of which I documented. When I withdrew as her lawyer, she chose to handle her case at trial on her own. That was her decision and she shall live with the decision of the Court. She is a living example of why no one should represent themself in their divorce. Bottom line.....At all times during my representation of her, I was professional, courteous and prepared. At no time did I act Inappropriately toward her or her Husband's lawyers. Bottom line is she blames me, her former lawyer, for her actions when I properly and professionally represented her throughout my work.

A deeply disturbing experience

I had a deeply disturbing experience with attorney Steven Effman. I feel compelled to share my story so that others can be aware and protect themselves. 1. Before hiring him, I later discovered that Mr. Effman had prior legal and professional issues. One woman succeeded in proving in court that he ...had behaved inappropriately toward her. I strongly urge anyone considering him to research this online. This information is important and publicly available. 2. During one of our remote hearings held from his office, while a judge was speaking, Mr. Effman placed his hand on my leg and kept it there. I was shocked and uncomfortable. However, I felt trapped—I couldn’t afford to hire a new attorney mid-case, as it would have meant paying double, and I didn’t have the financial means. 3. Most devastatingly, I came to believe that Mr. Effman was not working in my best interest during my divorce. Over time, it became clear that he was far more aligned with my husband. He even openly admired my husband’s wealth. I realized far too late that my own attorney may have been compromised. If anyone reading this has experienced something similar, please find a way to reach out. You are not alone.

So thankful for this attorney!

If you need an attorney that is thoughtful, caring and has a knowledge of divorce law that is quite simply amazing look no further. Mr Effman is your attorney. Mr Effman took over my case after a terrible experience with a previous attorney. He quickly and confidently fixed the huge damage that was ...done by a less knowledgeable attorney, and put me completely at ease from the first day I was lucky enough to make contact with him. He kept me informed every step of the way, listened to all my ideas and expertly weaved our way through the very complicated and often times completely unfair family law world. Dont make the same mistake I did at first. I was frustrated, miserable, angry after my divorce and hired the first attorney I called thinking they were all the same. Dont gamble with you and your childrens future! Do your homework and then hire an attorney that is experienced, knowledgeable and caring. It can save you, frustration, anger and complete disgust and of course thousands of dollars! Mr Effman is the best and I am so glad I was referred to him. Hope I can pay it forward by writing this rambling review!!

Worst Divorce Attorney Ever!

Paid him more than 30k and failed with everything. Ended up hiring another attorney to finish my divorce. Makes false promises and backs out of everything. Take your money with unnecessary meetings and conversations after which he never follows up with the other attorney. If there were negative stars... this attorney would receive them. My 5 year old could've represented me better.
