And experienced professional

Harold Weissman is an outstanding family law attorney whose practice areas include divorce, paternity, and domestic violence. I had a legal matter that required diligent and professional attention, considering I am an attorney myself. As an attorney who has intimate knowledge of this profession, I k...new to be skeptical because there are a lot of attorneys out there who do not deliver on their promises. Harold Weissman is the attorney who attorneys higher when they need assistance. His experience and attention to detail make all the difference, and he truly delivers excellent results for his clients. Not only would I use him should I ever need legal assistance again, but I have and will continue to refer my clients to him who could benefit from his expertise.

Disorganized and Confused Staff

I hired Harold Weissman for my divorce. My case was simple (as per other lawyers opinions); I went with him because a friend of a friend recommended him. MISTAKE. Every step of the way, I have had to chase the staff down for paperwork, information and follow through. The only staff member who was... responsible was Nancy their Legal Assistant. Everybody else didn't return phone calls or emails. Basically, I had to call or email Nancy and ask her to have them call or email me... And keep in mind that I am charged per phone calls... It started from the get go, when they filed my petition for divorce in the wrong county... They charged me for talking on the phone with staff that had made errors on my financial affidavit so i can help them fix it (all they had to do is look at pay stubs and punch in numbers...) No bill were sent to me for 6 months until I asked for a status of my account. The first offer my lawyer came in with during my mediation was the number Mr. Weissman told me was insufficient when I walked in for the free case assessment (my soon to be ex had made me an offer). Frankly, the whole experience was made worse by the fact that I had to chase the staff for action and then contact my ex to do their job cause they just don't follow through...

Don't do it!!

The most unprofessional attorney to work with. Let me start off by saying I was insulted by him on numerous occasions, which I shrugged off because I was convinced that he would be the person to help me get everything I want in my custody case. He started off strong and extremely convincing but by th...e second time meeting with him I was being advised to give into certain things that I am not willing to compromise. His attitude changed from a strong hardworking attorney who I can trust to someone who's already been paid and does not care about what happens ragardless of what I wanted. He was never personally reachable, I was always in contact with one of the many assistants he has. During our phone conversations I was always put on hold where I can hear full conversations not regarding my case. While in office I was constantly interrupted by other phone calls which were put on speaker so that my mother and I can hear someone else's case info. This made me uncomfortable because this meant that other clients were able to hear my phone calls and know all about my case. No one ever knew what my case was about while on the phone with me, admitting that they did not currently have my file opened, so I was constantly having to remind them who I was and what my case was about. Never felt like anyone cared enough about my case to fully understand what I needed. I finally terminated his services when ALL of my personal information was sent to the opposing party. Paperwork with mine and my daughters social security numbers, my bank and credit card statements, my w2's and my tax information via email. With all personal numbers viewable. When I voiced my concern I was told that I should have known that they would share that information and that the ipposing party was entitled to that information INCLUDING all personal numbers of mine such as my social, bank account number, credit card number etc. I'm appalled at the lack of professionalism and organizations this office has. I would ONLY recommend this attorney to my worst enemy. Your retainer will not be refundable. I WOULD NOT EVEN GIVE ONE STAR IF I DIDNT HAVE TO.
