You can’t go wrong with this firm!

lost, hurt of my employer actions to terminate my job after almost 4 years with a clean employee record. During this time health became a issue. I had all my FMLA paperwork in place for my upcoming surgery. The day came of my surgery. Of course I was nervous ,scared when I got the news they terminate...d me. The next day, it was a blessing when I called Richard Cellar law firm. From our first call they were incredibly professional and empathetic, clearly explaining the entire legal process to me. My paralegals, Jordan and Samantha thank you, for always being there for me throughout my case process. This firm was very responsive, always getting back to my questions quickly. This firm really made me feel like I was family. They helped me gather all the necessary documentation, like my positive performance reviews and emails, and built a strong case. Ultimately, they successfully secured a settlement for me. Thank you all! I highly recommend Richard Cellar to anyone in need of an excellent employment attorney; they fought hard for my rights."

Buyer beware!!

I hired The Richard Cellers Group well over a year ago now after my EEOC was finished with a former employer. After reading about the no money down & pay later nightmares people had gone through I made sure to ask all the relevant questions. Can I get my legal fees covered and not get the 40/60 split..., YES, will I have a main lawyer the entire time for those billable hours?, YES, so that means you will fight for me to keep a majority of my settlement should I get one correct, YES.... WRONG. By the end I have never seen any of them in person. They didn't even bother to show up for a full day of deposition on ME!  I did end up getting a settlement after I sent in all my documents and answered all the other attorneys' questions with NO HELP FROM THEM. I didn't want to take the first offer and was sent nasty emails basically telling me if I didnt I was going to regret it and then more attorneys contacted me to bully me into taking the deal until they came back with 2k more than one of the attorneys so graciously decided he would give up to me in the split just to make me happy. But something still wasn't adding up. When I asked if they got their fees covered they said yes and still took a 40/60 split/ I asked about billable hours and got the runaround. I was told they don't do that per say. What do you  mean? Then I was given their billable hourly rate and a number that added up to about 14k and told me they were doing me a favor and actually charging me less than they could. I still have not seen ANY billable hours to this day. I then was told the number I would receive and I did NOT receive that number because then taxes were taken out. When I asked about this, they said this is standard. I said no, we discussed this too and I was told it was not going to be taken out, they said it was illegal not to take it out. Then they asked but the company was unwilling, well which is it?  Then they said they would get me my checks the same day and now apparently they have put 2 high dollar amount checks in the USPS mail. They could not even bother to overnight them for me.

Stay far away from Celler Legal

Stay far away !! Go to any firm, but this one. I strongly advise against hiring Noah Stark or Richard Celler. I retained Noah in March to handle a time-sensitive whistleblower case. From March to July, no meaningful action was taken—not even the basic step of sending a representation agreement. De...spite multiple follow-ups, there was no communication, no clear plan, and no urgency. As a result of this inaction, I was forced to terminate the firm. By the time I sought alternative counsel, more than 15 attorneys declined to take my case—not because of the merits, but because too much time had passed. Noah Stark cost me my case. Richard Celler was made aware of the situation, yet allowed it to continue. There was no accountability, no ownership of the consequences, and only deflection. This firm will not fight for you—they will stall your case and then disappear. Stay far, far away.

Great Law Firm!

I contacted this law firm about 2 years ago regarding a possible case and after reviewing everything they decided to take on my case. I have to say after several years working my case I have nothing but the best to say about this law firm. We were able to have a positive outcome and will highly reco...mmend them. They were very professional and helped me with everything.

This firm is not what the reviews show at all... sadly

I dont know if I would recommend them or not. We sent a request and initially this company emailed back saying they were interested in the case. Fast forward through 8 pages later sent of of proof and names and alot of dates and information and we get a canned email response saying that its a case f...or the EEOC and they wont be taking it! They took a case from one of his previous co-workers that was less of a case (he was homosexual - I hate to think that was a factor in their decision.) My husbands case was retaliation from being a whistleblower and there is actual video and witnesses to what he has gone through. My husband is a 50 year old white guy. There have been 5 other winning cases against Bayview Cadillac for non-payment, sexual harrassment, and other sorted issues. This change of desire to take my husbands case seems suspicious at best. My husband was not only the victim of age and race discrimination, but also sexual harrassment and then retaliation due to whistleblowing.

"I didn't know Richard Celler, but he came highly recommended in a couple online networking groups, when I was looking for someone to help my daughter with an employment issue. He was honest with us and looked not just at the legal issues but pointed out some risks to her personally that I had not considered. A lawyer's primary fiduciary duty is to always put their client's interests above their own. Yet so many lawyers do what lines their pockets whether it helps the client or not. Anyone who is an attorney knows, that we face a barrage of questions and "consultations" from family members any time anything comes up. Richard Celler gave my daughter the same thoughtful advice and care, that I reserve for family and friends who call to "get my take" on something. I'm not inclined to forget how he treated us. INTEGRITY is the word that comes to mind."

Professional misconduct

This lawyer was disciplined by a state licensing authority in 2014.

Public Reprimand issued in FL, 2014

updated on 07/12/2018

Public reprimand means the attorney did something wrong but may still practice law. The Bar warns the lawyer in hopes that he or she will not repeat the behavior. Details of the infraction are made part of the public record.

Richard’s comment:

“These events occurred in 2012. This reprimand was the only discipline I received in my 19 year career. I have never been suspended, disbarred, or sanctioned in any other manner by the Florida Bar or any other State Bar. If a client or potential client has any questions regarding this, please feel free to email me at [email protected] or call me at 866-344-9243 (WAGE) to discuss. I am more than happy to provide client references regarding my results and professionalism”
