A Win! Glad we hired Mr. Powers

After dealing with their insurance company we felt like we were getting the run around and decided to call Mr. Powers after a friend of mine referred him to me. He had used him in a car accident, nothing huge but he had a bunch of medical stuff they weren't paying and Powers got them to pay for what ...they owed. Same thing in my case. I was injured and had to go the hospital and they didn't want to pay for it even though they were at fault. I wasn't asking for a pay day I just wanted them to pay the bills their insured caused. After my bills went to collections I called Mr. Powers office and things changed really really fast. We didn't even need to go to court. Some of the bills were "Magically" paid right away, by magic I mean Martin had some "Powers" lol . And after all was said and done they settled our case out of court. It wasn't millions but mid $XX,XXX (can't say exactly due to the agreement) but it paid everything that was owed instead of me going into massive medical bill debt. I didn't pay anything until we settled and it came out of the settlement. Good lawyer.

Worst Ever

After hiring this lawyer to represent me I started to wonder if they were promised some extra money if I settled out of court. And to top it all off they wanted to charge me a fee for locating information that I gave them! Worst experience and will never recommend them to anyone not even my enemies!

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
