In April 2012, I found myself in a major financial crisis when several business clients stopped paying their large receivables due to their clients non-payment. My debt included a $1,000,0...00 Bank Line of Credit (personally guaranteed), $1,200,000 in credit card debt (15+ cards in my name) and $400,000 in vendor payables (50+ vendors). I maintain 2 personal credit cards and pay them in full each month. I did not file for Bankruptcy. My credit score has increased from under 500 to 710. It is possible that my situation was particularly challenging due to the large sums and big name creditors accustomed to intimidating people into full payment.
