Had a landlord not return my deposit, didn't send any reason or make any claim of damages. What happened is she bought the house (4 apartments) and then kicked everyone out and kept everyone's deposit. In FL they have 30 days to claim damages otherwise deposit is forfeit and must be returned. She apparently didn't believe in the statues Mr. Devin worked on my case for just over 2 years. Not only was he able to return my full deposit with interest, he was one of the very few lawyers I called willing to take the case on commission. Which really helped me since I couldn't afford to pay a lawyer upfront and also was moving out of state and therefore couldn't file the claim myself. Mr. Devin was patient with me and very professional throughout the entire process.

I had a very tricky landlord tenant dispute. I did without shower facilities for 13 days. Once that was corrected I paid my landlord 1 month advance rent. Two days later he served me with 30 days notice to vacate. I asked for the extra months rent back which he refused. At that point I hired Attorney Devin....who handled the entire situation with knowledge and precision. I received 1 month free rent, compensation for the water situation, my security deposit returned and my landlord had to pay his attorneys fees. I was not charged at all. If Attorney Devin had not been representing me....I don't think the outcome would have been as good.
