I was referred to Mr. Leigh originally by my real estate agent to handle problems with the builder of a custom >$1M home in Fort Lauderdale that had gone over two years under construction and there was concern the builder would go bankrupt. He met with the builder's attorney and the project took on ...a number 1 priority and was quickly completed. On another occasion, I retained his services for a pre-construction condominium >$1M purchase in Adventura that again had gone over two years requiring contracts be resigned. The real estate crash had occured during this time and the new value of the unit was 50% of the original price. I had intended to walk away from our 20% purchase but Mr. Leigh sued the builder and in arbitration was able to get my deposit back along with two other couples that saw our case and retained his services. Currently I am in the final stages of a suit with the builder of a new construction condo I purchased in Fort Lauderdale which had a major construction flaw. We had to sue both the builder and contractor that had supplied the faulty construction. What we anticipated would be a quick resolution, took three years to resolve and there is still one outstanding minor issue but the constrution issue has been corrected. During this three years, Mr. Leigh was always on top of every issue and kept the other two attorneys on notice that they were not going to wear us down which was their obvious game plan. What I appreciate most about Mr. Leigh is his total honesty. He always keeps me informed, up to date and copies me on all back and forth correspondance. I am aware of friends that have used him sucessfully with similar (preconstruction condominium issues for one) issues with positive results.
