Michael William Simon

Michael W. Simon is a shareholder at The Simon Law Firm, where he focuses on real estate and business litigation as well as transactions. He handles commercial and residential matters from contract drafting and negotiation through land acquisition, title resolution, and complex development issues involving multi-use properties, construction, hazardous materials, covenants, and major financing. His practice also covers the legal needs of ongoing commercial operations, including hospitality, leasing, premises liability, security, licensing, and community association governance. As a litigator, Mr. Simon has appeared in Florida state courts, federal court, bankruptcy court, administrative and condominium hearings, appellate courts, and arbitration, serving as lead counsel in disputes involving contracts, liens and title, intellectual property, creditor’s rights, construction claims, and tort liability. He is also known for specialized, confidential representation of professional athletes and sports and entertainment personalities. Mr. Simon is AV Preeminent rated by Martindale-Hubbell and has been widely respected for his lectures, writing, and courtroom work on real estate issues. He served as Chair of the Florida Bar Grievance Committee for the 15th Judicial Circuit, reflecting a long-standing commitment to ethics and professionalism. Admitted in Florida and Ohio and in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, he earned his undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University and his J.D. from Case Western Reserve University. He has also taught real estate law as an adjunct professor and remains active in bar and community service organizations.
