Adam David Harmelin

So just to start it off i was just ready to go turn myself into county jail for a failure to appear that i had a warrant out and my license suspended for a friend of mine referred me to Adam because he helped him with a case and i heard great things and it’ll be best if i had a consultation first…. ...I spoke with him he is very knowledgeable and i hired him within 2 days my warrant is gone and i was able to get my license reinstated and the case resolved thank you so so much ! Never had to miss work or take a trip down to Ft. Lauderdale as i live up in Orlando super happy thank you

After checking references and interviewing a number of attorneys, we hired Mr. Harmelin for a relatively complicated suit against a sleazy opponent. We did quite a bit of research prior to hiring Mr. Harmelin and to the actual suit just to be on the safe side. For the period that we were directly inv...olved with Mr. Harmelin, he ALWAYS shone very brightly. We were very impressed with his presence and most importantly with his astute knowledge of the law and the facts of the lawsuit (both sides). This is the type of representation we all look for. I have since recommend his service to many associates who have also been thrilled with his professional acumen.

I hired Mr. Harmelin after reviewing credentials from the 100 flyers we all receive in the mail. I thought that having worked as a defense attorney for the prosecutors office he seemed liked the most viable option. In my case he withheld a crucial deposition taken from a P.O. which would have deterre...d me from taking his advice, He neglected to take statements from person/s to negate the entire situation based upon what had been reported to police given by the supposed witness. The number of inconsistencies were innumerable and when I presented them to him he became very defensive. He was negligible in so many ways, gave me the wrong advice and just said lead no contest without ever providing me with all he had attained.He stated to lead as he said and it would all just be over. Trust me that to date I am still suffering the repercussions from his advice. All in all my poor decision to hire him cost me an estimated 27k as well as deterred me from securing housing. His amount of work was virtually nonexistent that I'm still in awe. The depositions taken were (2). The first was from the supposed witness to my infraction who clearly changed his story in all that he stated. Mr. Harmelin never once during the deposition ever addressed any inconsistency whatsoever with this witness who clearly lied. I questioned Mr. Harmelin and asked that he have his partner redepose that witness to which he refused with an attitude. Someone within my neighborhood had even called him negating part of what the witness reported to police yet no statement or deposition was taken from that person. Remember this,if you receive flyers as I ,it's usually from the bottom feeders as good attorneys are so busy just working from referrals. This doesn't mean that a good attorney doesn't prospect via mailers. He gladly took my money. I cannot see how this man can put his head down on the pillow at night and sleep well knowing that he didn't do his job properly let alone at all. He claimed to have gone through the motions stating that he put so much time into my case that I wouldn't have believed it. Another thing to remember is that when an attorney such as he says it's your call as to what you wish to do, be sure and put the ball back in their court. That is why you hired one in the first place. That statement to you is to protect them from being pursued after the fact. I would not recommend this attorney to my worst enemy, not even for so much as a simple ticket. It is of course my opinion, but anyone looking at hiring him will hopefully read this review and those who did not will wish they had. A poor attorney with a large case load means less time defending you properly. Save your money. He needs to go back to law school from my point of view or become associated with a seasoned professional so he may learn how to properly handle any one case. Don't get me wrong as many attorneys have many cases to handle,but there are those who do their diligence in defending their clients by putting actual time and effort into it. He clearly doesn't and did not in my scenerio. A defense attorney is supposed to work for you, not against you. He rarely returned a phone call and when he did it was as if I were interrupting him. I guess my case was just less important than the one before or the one he acquired after I hired him. Don't say you haven't been warned.
