- Petitions for the appointment of a Guardian Advocate for an adult family member who was diagnosed before the age of 18 with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, an Intellectual Disability, Phelan-McDermid Syndrome, Prader-Willi Syndrome or Spina Bifida and the developmental disability "constitutes a substantial handicap that can reasonably be expected to continue indefinitely." Section (11), Florida Statutes (2017).
- Petitions for the stabilization, assessment, evaluation and/or treatement of a person for a substance abuse problem under Florida's Marchman Act.
