He has also presented for the Society of Financial Services Professionals (FSP) on the use of donor advised funds, charitable gift annuities, split-interest charitable trusts, and other charitable giving techniques.
Mr. Kane has authored a section in a course manual on revocable trusts, estate tax planning, and use of irrevocable trusts in Florida entitled "New Era of Estate Planning in Florida" for Lorman Education Services. Mr. Kane also authored an article entitled "What Every Estate Planning Attorney Should Know About Florida Homestead Law" for Wealth Counsel's Quarterly edition.
Mr. Kane currently serves on the following philanthropic boards: Greater Miami Jewish Federation (Member of the Board of Directors, Board Member of the Foundation, and Chairperson of the Professional Advisory Committee); American Cancer Society Nationwide Gift Planning Advisory Council (Member and Past Chairperson); and University of Miami Planned Giving Board (Member).
Mr. Kane has past experience as an appointed Special Magistrate, Court Appointed Receiver, and Guardian/Attorney/Administrator Ad Litem in the Eleventh Judicial Circuit Court in and for Miami-Dade County.
Mr. Kane is a graduate of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel Florida Fellows Institute, graduated cum laude with a J.D. and L.LM from the University of Miami School of Law, and graduated cum laude with a B.A. in Government and Latin American Studies from Franklin and Marshall College.
