Daniel represented me for two separate cases; the first was to handle a very complex, bifurcated post-judgment family law case. Some lawyers I contacted said they don't do post judgement cases, due to what I assume is the complicated nature of the work required to untangle the issues overlooked in th...e initial divorce agreement which was handled by a different lawyer. Some other lawyers I consulted didn't fight for me, but rather seemed more interested in getting me to settle and compromise on an issue that was non-negotiable (my child's health). Daniel and the Burton Firm did what other lawyers didn't seem eager to do----to fight for the merits of my case and resolve and clean up the issues left ignored by the other lawyer who handled my divorce agreement. Daniel and the rest of the Burton Team did so with resounding success. For the more recent case, Daniel was instrumental in fighting for me over another family law matter. He worked tirelessly, working day and after hours into the night. He was very patient and professional with me, taking care of various aspects of the case, before during and after the hearing: he wrote carefully, expertly worded court documents that cut right to the issue; He took a great deal of time preparing me for the court hearing, with calm detailed instructions for me to follow. The judge ruled in my favor on every single point argued in court and in the filed motions. The court hearing couldn't have turned out any better; it even surpassed my expectations and I attribute that to Daniel's expertise, his calm, committed work ethic, his utmost professionalism, and his sincere, unwavering hard work in fighting for me. I cannot express strongly enough how impressed I am with Mr. Poterek and the Burton Firm. He went above and beyond his duties to fight for me and to get things done right.
