Betsy Vazquez

I am a Collaborative Divorce and Estate Planning Attorney, a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Mediator since 2010, a Certified County Court Mediator, Parenting Coordinator, Founder of Vazquez Law, PLLC and Mediate4Peace, LLC. My office is located in Doral, Florida.

After obtaining my bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Florida International University and a Master in Business Administration from Barry University, I went on to law school and obtained my Juris Doctor from St. Thomas University School of Law, with a Certificate in Elder Law. 

My practice is limited to non-adversarial and solution based methods, such as pro-se, pre-suit mediation, private family mediation, court-ordered family mediation and the collaborative process, which includes estate planning during and after divorce.

I truly understand that family litigation can be difficult and a costly event to families because I personally endured a highly conflictive, expensive, litigious 7-year divorce. As a collaborative attorney, I work closely with a team of collaboratively trained professionals to minimize conflict, resolve family issues amicably, and protect the children from emotional harm. Generally, I put estate planning protections in place, such as an Advance Health Care Directive, during the divorce. This is the legal document that provides you with the opportunity to name a trusted person to make health care decisions for you in case you can’t. After the divorce process is completed, I then educate families on different planning options so that they can make the best, informed decisions in designing a thorough and comprehensive estate plan that will work for them and their loved ones.

I am living proof that there is light at the end of the tunnel after divorce. I am determined to make the process for families far easier than what it was for me. One of the ways I accomplish this is by applying my P.E.A.C.E. resolution approach, which clients really do appreciate.
