When I got behind on my mortgage, I contacted my mortgage company because I knew I was in trouble and I naively thought they were going to work with me. They were, however, completely uninterested in helping me. After I made multiple attempts to contact them, they began the foreclosure process again...st me. When I started receiving legal notices, I contacted Mr. Hoffman. He very clearly explained my options and what would happen if we proceeded with each option. After some discussion, I told him what I wanted to happen. He made sure that was exactly what did happen. He kept me informed and advised me each step of the way, always making my options clear. I went to get a consultation from Mr. Hoffman and he apparently had no interest in my case, yet alone hearing it. He runs his mouth a hundred miles and hour, so I could barely get a word in, or even answer his question before he would ask the next. Then in a rather unprofessional and rude way, he str...aight up told me that I would not get anywhere in my claim. I informed him of all paperwork I had for my case and he didn’t bother to look at it. He just adamantly kept telling me that I had no case and that I did not appear to be in the condition that I mentioned. You must be a special kind of ignorant to really think that all you have to do is look at a person and be able to determine their ailments. Thank God he’s not a doctor and just a lawyer. His determinations are just opinions, and carries no fact-based analysis. The consultation was not a consultation, but rather than him dominating the conversation and making it seem like I was out to get money. If you want to feel belittled while you are trying to discuss claim options (and constantly being cut-off) then this is the lawyer for you.
