Biography
Simone Kriger-Cagle is an associate of the firm and concentrates her practice on real estate and commercial litigation.
Simone was born and raised in South Africa, where she received her Bachelor of Arts in English and psychology from the University of Cape Town, and her Bachelor of Laws from the University of Cape Town School of Law. She earned her Juris Doctor in 2012 from the University of Miami School of Law, where she was an assistant editor of the Psychology, Public Policy, and Law Journal, and graduated magna cum laude. While in law school at Miami Law, she was the recipient of the John F. Evans Memorial Scholarship for litigation skills, the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in civil procedure, and the Deans’ Certificate of Achievement in contracts. A member of the International Moot Court Board, she also was a Professional Responsibility and Ethics Program blog editor. Additionally, she interned at the Miami-Dade Office of the State Attorney, as well as the legal department of Ryder System, Inc.
Before joining Cooke Law Group in February 2014, Simone worked as an associate at Greenberg Traurig, LLP, in Fort Lauderdale. Dedicated to community awareness issues, she served pro-bono at the Cape Town Legal Aid Society, and is active with the Junior League of Miami.
