Mr Kaufman represented me in my recent divorce. He is certainly very knowledgable, reliable and professional, but all this has been said before in prior reviews. The qualities that i think makes him an outstanding attorney is his compassion. Mr Kaufman understand that divorce is a devastating expe...rience for many of us, that brings out sometimes the worst qualities and feelings in human beings. He kept his objectivity in his advise and did not get emotional or judgemental. He worked on my behalf while dealing with an aggressive, vindictive adverse counselor. If this is your situation, he is the best attorney you can hire. He did not engage or encourage legal games or advise to file motions that solve nothing other than causing more pain and expenses. He is diligent and effective. He worked on my case without burdening my days with unnecessary details, emails and phone calls. He advocated for amicable resolution of conflict but was also prepared to win a confrontation in court. Mr Kaufman was always available even when he was out of town. We met or spoke on the phone only when it was really necessary. He was always very direct in his advise and respected my time and money. He would play devils advocate sometimes to illustrate the worst case scenario and prepare you to make an informed decision. I was very impressed with his office staff, Lissette and Isabel. I used Steve for a child custody case. To put it short, my ex wife was attempting to alter our time sharing schedule and my contribution towards his child support. My ex was attempting to do this by making erroneous accusations. I went to Steve in a panic mode. Steve in a blunt fashion explai...ned my options in the case. Steve gave me time to dictate my position. Steve took his time the day before our court date to review the facts. Everything went well in court. Actually, later on everything went so smooth that I ended up getting exactly what I wanted as far as time sharing with my son. He made it a point to keep me informed about my case and he would even let me know when he was going on vacation. I appreciate Steve because he wouldn't feed me B.S. that I wanted to hear. There is not enough space for me to express my gratitude for my attorney Steve Kaufman. I tend to ramble and my communications are usually long. Eventually Steve would ask me to keep it short and to the point which is a testament to how well he got to know his client. I got divorced in 2008 and st...eve was not my attorney who handled my divorce. I was emotional mess and made many mistakes in 2008 since I did not anticipate that the person I loved for 15 years could present so many challenges after our divorce. I quickly realized that simple things needed to be clearified in my maritial divorce settlement agreement and that my divorce did not end when it was signed by the judge. He has helped me with issues regarding my children and how they each individually handled the divorce and all the mistakes their parents made. Steve Kaufman is my firend and you need not search any further for an attorney. I have met him on weekends at coffee shops. I even spent a Saturday morning at his house preparing for court (I did bring bagels, lox and white fish). Steve has amazing court room presence and clearly out performs the opposing counsel. He is patient in the court room and does not allow his clients emotions to interfere with his professionalism. I made every mistake a client could make. Steve even sat me down and gave me a choice to follow his advise or choose another atorney. That day was a reflection on my emotioins and a poor decsion on my part. You can choose a large firm with 40 atorneys or you can make the best decsion of your life during this difficult time and have Steve Kaufman in your corner. He is a good man, professional, spiritual and tenative to his clients emotions. I have cried with him. I have celebrated with him. I have trusted him with my life and my childrens future. Best choice I ever made. Did I mention he is extremely reasonable with his rates. I should also be honest about what was not always perfect. This statement is more about setting the expectation. You will not be his only client. There are times that your emotions are high and you want to speak to Steve immediately. I was the pain in the ass client who called 5 times a day. For the most most part he always called me back even while on vacation. Get my point! I did learn over the years to respect that he is in court and has other clients. I hope none of you have a divorce as difficult as mine was. But I do have peace with my ex-wife now. But that can change as it has in the past. Some of you will be lucky and your divorce will not be an issue after it is signed. You have a much better chance if you choose my friend Steve Kaufman

I walked in to Steven’s office knowing that it was to be a long journey on a difficult case. Steven gave me his famous line, “I can’t guarantee anything but I will be honest with you”. He was 100% honest with me. I presented him with my case and never up charged me on anything. Every time I called hi...s office he answered me and if he wasn’t in or busy he called me right back. He has an amazing team led by Lisette who treat you with care and understanding. I knew going into his office that I was going to be leaving South Florida and going across the country. This made me feel as if the distance would make it difficult to speak or Steven handle my case. The distance was not an issue. Either Steven or Lisette called me, emailed or left messages for me. I felt that I was the difficult one to reach and get back to Steven instead of the other way around. In the end once the case was settled, he didn’t guarantee anything to me. What he did do for me was win my case and although it was an investment on my behalf, I got more than what I paid for.
