I HIGHLY do not recommend Melissa Paniagua, take this as a warning. Not only is she one of the most unprofessional people I have ever met, but Melissa, rarely called or messaged me about my case. Instead, I was receiving messages on occasion from the receptionist. If I knew this was how she was going... to carry out my case, I would have just represented myself in all honesty. All she did was take my money and considering she recently passed the board of exams; you can all imagine how incompetent she is. Save you money, for a better lawyer, not only could she not even carry out my case till the end, but she made it worse in fact. I suggest either representing yourself or getting a public defender over wasting your money and time with this “lawyer”. I honestly believe that she is the biggest scam artist that I have ever met. According to the American Bar Association’s Model Rules of Professional Conduct 1.4: Client-Lawyer Relationship Rule 1.4 Communication (a) A lawyer shall: (1) Promptly inform the client of any decision or circumstance with respect to which the client’s informed consent, as defined in Rule 1.0(e), is required by these Rules; (2) Reasonably consult with the client about the means by which the client’s objectives are to be accomplished; (3) Keep the client reasonably informed about the status of the matter; Melissa Paniagua has failed to do so and has even taken the liberty to not even message me about my case rather message me asking for 1,000. Instead of an exchange of business this seems like a scam and a fraud on her part. Save your money and don't waste it on her.
