It's rare to find anything good to say these days about virtually anything, but we have found an exception in the legal work of Steven Swartz, Esq. of Carballo Law, P.A.! We were in a position of having to put through a travel insurance claim for our elderly parents' 6-week trip abroad that had t...o be cancelled due to a medical condition. The trip had been booked for mid July 2020 and we filed the claim in the beginning of May. For nearly four months we were stonewalled by the insurance company, who remained completely unresponsive to our numerous communications and then ultimately denied our claim outright... twice! We finally called Steven based on a personal recommendation, and right from our initial phone consultation we knew we had the right guy. He quickly ascertained the legitimacy of our position within the policy criteria, digested all the steps we had taken thus far, and turned out a 100-page detailed response including evidence and on-point legal citations that was followed up by the filing of a bad faith grievance with the Florida DFS and ultimately resulted in the payment of our claim... all in a little over a month! We could never have achieved such a successful outcome without him! But more than just securing our claim, Steven was a true pleasure to work with. He was attentive, forthright and clear in all our dealings with him, addressing our myriad questions and concerns quickly, cordially and comprehensively – traits that unfortunately are not always readily found in attorneys these days.
