Amazing Advocate

I am an attorney and I cannot recommend Jonathan enough. Jonathan guided me through a very contentious divorce and several years of post-divorce litigation. He is extremely effective without being nasty and he is understanding and empathetic to those of us who must go through this unfortunate ordeal...! Jonathan understands the emotional, financial and experiential cost of divorce and his primary interest is to find the best path to resolution and closure so you can move on and rebuild your life constructively. He is a master of strategy - what to get and what to give. He is an excellent problem solver who comes up with creative and constructive solutions to complex problems and he'll advocate firmly and effectively to protect your position. Jonathan has a non-adversarial approach to conflict resolution and he'll do everything in his power to get you a peaceful, cooperative and speedy resolution yet he will always protect your position and stand up for your rights as necessary. Perhaps the highest praise I have ever heard about Jonathan came from the person who recommended him to me several years ago. He lamented the fact that Jonathan represented his ex-wife in the divorce and emphatically told me that Jonathan is the guy YOU want to have in your corner instead of as opposing counsel! He was right. Hire Jonathan before your ex does!!!! He is not only an amazing lawyer but is also a great person as well.

Positive Results & Guidance in Time of Chaos, No Non-Sense Attorney

I have hired Jonathan for my divorce and again after 11 years for a supplemental of the divorce agreement child/ time sharing related issues between myself and my very unreasonable ex-wife. He was/has always been very responsive to my questions, assertive and with good genuine advices with my best i...nterest and the wellbeing of my daughter in mind. Jonathan represented me and helped me through some of the most painful time of my life. I couldn't be more grateful to have had him as my counsel (several times) and helping me get stable equal custody of my daughter, who is now be my side more than expected and no longer disrupted by capricious and selfish actions from the dark side. Priceless...

Highly Recommended

Mr. Jonasz was my attorney in a recent divorce. He was firm, honest and a great listener. He always kept the law and my best interest in focus. He knows when and how to push forward, when to hold back and when to hold his ground. He wasn't the cheapest lawyer I found, but "cheap" and "good" neve...r go together anyway?? In my opinion a "good" attorney is always going to be more important than a an "inexpensive" attorney! If you are looking for a family attorney, I'd highly recommend you give Mr. Jonasz a call. I found him to be professional, fair, a very straight forward guy that does not make decisions to simply maximize billing, but instead an attorney that kept my best interest and best final outcome his top priority.

Jonasz saved me thousands and won back my life!

Jonathan Jonasz and his team (Cristiana Esteves) represented me in a case regarding the modification of a timeshare and care agreement of a minor child. After struggling to defend myself from countless petitions for modification, which left me emotionally taxed and physically drained, a friend led m...e to Jonathan. Looking back to last year, I can say without a doubt that the day I met Jonathan was the first day of my liberation from a long-lived nightmare of excessive and unnecessary litigation, outrageous legal fees, missed workdays and the fear from being repeatedly served by my “seek and destroy” minded ex-spouse. From day one, Jonathan was straight-up with me; pointing out advantages/disadvantages of different legal strategies and the relationship and monetary cost of each. I was impressed with his knowledge of family law and his ability to recite case law specific to my situation on command. The most impressive quality that Jonathan has is his uncanny ability to display an unrivalled Pitbull-like mindset when he needs to be in “attack” mode for his client; nothing dirty, just good old-fashioned legal research put forth as technical acumen with a “kick.” After reading his initial email messages and hearing his telephonic communication to opposing counsel, I was sure that I was on the right side of the bar fight. As tough as Jonathan will fight for you, he’ll also work just as hard keep you from joining the fight. Rather than allowing me to self-implode many times during the case or have him employ retaliatory tactics towards my ex-spouse and her lawyer, Jonathan showed empathy for me and our minor child, he listened to and allowed me to vent, but kept me focused on doing what was best for our minor child. I recall one defining moment when I knew for certain that I had the right lawyer; Jonathan sat me down after he noticed that opposing counsel was getting under my skin…He said ”I have one question for you. Is your child important to you?” My answer was a resounding, “Yes!” To which he replied, “Well let’s do this the right way and leave the dirty stuff to them; the law is what we’ll fight with.” Jonathan successfully thwarted attempts by opposing counsel to serve me at my workplace, protected me from multiple baseless discovery requests, shielded me from my own natural desire to react while under attack, and was available via email, phone, in person no matter when I needed him. If my case were in the news, they’d be reporting on how Jonathan took my ex-spouse’s well-heeled lawyer behind the woodshed on my behalf and came back with my case being settled out of court in my favor! I knew a few months in that I had hired a solid lawyer last year, but when the process was over 7-months later, I was certain that I had gained a friend. I give an enthusiastic recommendation for Jonathan Jonasz and his team for anyone with family law needs.

Highly recommended

Jonathan Jonasz represented me in an alimony modification case where the original divorce judgment was for permanent alimony. From the beginning, Mr. Jonasz was upfront and realistic in his assessment of the possible outcomes of my case depending on whether it could be resolved out of court or went ...to trial. He made me feel like an active participant in the case by listening to my thoughts and analysis of the discovery, by sharing appeals court case history and by keeping me informed at each step in the process. He set a strategy for presenting the case and kept the focus on that strategy in spite of distractions by the opposing counsel that required filing counter motions and attending hearings to argue points of law regarding depositions, mediation and timeliness in the delivery of discovery. Mr. Jonasz’ partner, Cris Esteves, worked closely with me to organize and analyze the discovery and likewise demonstrated her knowledge of the law regarding alimony modification and her skill in reviewing financial data. Because of the excellent representation by Mr. Jonasz including his focus on the merits of the case, his skills in deposition and mediation, the case was settled out of court no doubt saving me additional fees, numerous hours of my own time devoted to the case and additional months of high alimony payments. I highly recommend him in the area of family law.

Relationship: Opposing Counsel on matter

"Jonathan and I were opposing counsel on a paternity case that involved very complicated issues. Even though we were on opposite sides, Jonathan and I worked very well with one another and actually came up with a solution that saved our clients tens of thousands of dollars in legal fees. I definitely would not mind having cases against him in the future. Family law is quite contentious, but he is very professional in his dealings with other attorneys."
