Marcela Gyires

We spent more than a handful of thousands of dollars on Marcela Gyires as a one time fee after a denial of entry. She put together an ‘interview packet’ aka one letter asking the embassy to « reconsider » ? She also said to make sure to ask the officer for his name during the interview. The consular ...officer laughed when I mentioned my lawyer’s interview packet, didn’t even look at it. I asked for his name, like Marcela said I should do, he shouted at me and said how dare you. That that was unacceptable. We googled some more and we had to beg for Marcela to file for a FOIA, that after 3 years we haven’t received yet. We hired a lawyer from DC for the same FOIA request for one tenth of the price and he got it in 3 weeks time. Oh! Also, Marcela Gyires doesn’t work at Pozo Goldstein anymore. How did we find out? By calling ourselves after months of negligence. The firm hadn’t even let us know or assigned us a new lawyer. Shame on you for scamming people like that. Regardless of what was ‘in the contract’, you should at least follow professional protocol and respond to emails politely! At least respond at all instead of saying ‘if you’re not happy, go elsewhere’. What if that was somebody’s last savings money? Don’t you care at all? Even if you couldn’t fix the immigration issue, you could’ve at least been professional and apologetic. I hope you will one day feel the same way as we have.

Marcela is absolutely the best. From the day we had our consultation to just before our interview with USCIS, she has been there for my wife and I. She treated us with dignity and respect. She was very patient, understanding, and informative. She answered all of our emails, all of our calls, and all ...of our questions with no problem. Marcela is wonderful. She prepared us for the interview very thoroughly and Ada Pozo was right by our sides during the interview. Ada made us feel at ease while we were waiting to be called for the interview. The interview went great and my wife and child received their green card. Ada Pozo and Marcela Gyires are the greatest and I highly recommend this law firm.
