He was convicted and sent to Allenwood Federal Prison for 3 years. It was a difficult time for our family. It was during that time that I found my passion for Criminal Defense. We were not happy with his lawyers or the way they handled his case; they lacked confidence, they didn't fight hard for him, they were not aggressive in court, they seemed afraid to challenge the prosecutor, they did not try to negotiate any favorable deals and... they had no empathy for their clients. They couldn't understand how difficult it is to be in a position where you are right now; accused of comitting a crime, afraid, facing an uncertain future, worried you may go to jail... even if you are innocent!

What sets me apart from many other criminal defense attorneys is the fact that I am a Black Belt in two schools of Martial Arts; Kung Fu and Muay Thai Kickboxing. I'm a fighter!

In 2001, I was awarded a dual Black Belt in Northern Shaolin Eagle Claw Kung Fu and in Muay Thai Kickboxing. Earning my Black Belt required a combination of grit and toughness, focus and determination, hard work, sweat equity and perseverance. I endured hundreds of hours of training and countless bumps and bruises; over the course of my training I faced many challenges, I fought hard and I never gave up.

My Martial Arts training has made me patient, laser-focused, tough and disciplined. My training gives me a distinct advantage over my opponents in the courtroom.
