We recovered over $26,000.00 for the client that wrote this review. She paid our firm approximately $1,200.00. The +$26,000 recovery was the direct result of our intervention in the case which included aggressive negotiations with the delinquent tenants, document, client intake and correspondences, drafting and serving notices, and other related matters. Generally, we attempt to obtain the greatest result at the earliest stage possible for our client’s benefit. Occasionally, as in this case, we can obtain significant settlement monies for our client early on, without the need for protracted litigation. Most clients appreciate our efforts in avoiding them the additional costs and burdens of litigation when possible. Most clients further understand the skill, time and efforts required to obtain these results. In this case, we spent significant time conferring with our client and her agent, reviewing the documents, drafting and serving the notices, and most importantly aggressively negotiating on our client’s behalf to obtain the monies owed. Should we have billed our former client hourly or on a contingency basis, we would have collected much more than $1,200.00. However, we did not do so because we have discounted rates and plans for eviction disputes.
