Shawn Llamar Marquise Hairston, Sr. is a Florida Attorney with a passion for litigation and a competitive spirit. Shawn’s Competitive nature is derived from his love of competition and his time playing Collegiate Football as a NCAA Student-Athlete. While at I.U.P. Shawn served as President of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. where he led numerous student panels and competed in numerous oratorical competitions. He was also a member of Omicron Delta Epsilon the International Economics Honor Society.
After attending Indiana University of Pennsylvania on an athletic and academic scholarship, Shawn graduated early and worked for the Legislative Branch in the office of Congresswoman Gwen Moore as a Legislative Assistant, Executive Assistant, and Intern Coordinator.
After his time on Capitol Hill Shawn received an Academic Scholarship to attend the University of Miami School of Law in Coral Gables, FL. At Miami Law Shawn proudly served in the Student Bar Association, was elected President of the Black Law Student’s Association, and traveled and competed Nationally as a Captain of the Miami BLSA Trial Team.
Throughout his academic career and Post-Graduation Shawn worked for a variety of firms ranging from the Public Defender’s Office, civil litigation boutiques, national firms and large corporations’ legal departments. Shawn has spent years honing his craft in the issues of Litigation, along with Probate Law working for these legal entities not to mention the time spent at the ground level dealing with the very statutes drafted by Congress. Shawn has been successful in his many legal endeavors and has had media coverage for a variety of cases in both State and Federal Court.
