Mary Catherine Hite

My name is Catherine Hite. I provide legal counsel to South Florida business owners and entrepreneurs. In many ways, I serve as "outside" general counsel to small and mid-size businesses. I am "result-oriented" and sensitive to the concerns of business owners, because I am one as well. I enjoy developing and maintaining productive, long-term relationships with my clients.

I was admitted to practice law in Florida in 1993, in the United States District Court, Southern District of Florida in 1994, and in Georgia in 2000.   I have been awarded an "AV" Peer Review Rating by Martindale-Hubbell.  I have worked in both law firm and in house counsel environments prior to starting my own firm in 2002. 

Since 2002, my practice is focused on providing legal counsel to private businesses, company executives and entrepreneurs.  Specifically, my practice includes: business representation; commercial transactions; contracts; commercial litigation; franchises and trademarks; preparing and negotiating commercial agreements and franchise documents; preparing shareholder and operating agreements; handling and litigating disputes regarding business, contract, shareholder and employment matters; filing trademark applications; handling corporate dissolutions; providing legal analysis and counsel regarding intellectual property matters; responding to governmental agency investigations; advising foreign business owners regarding Florida business practices and litigation; and retaining and supervising outside counsel nationwide.
