Andrew John Shamis

Andrew Shamis, is the managing partner at Shamis & Gentile P.A. Mr. Shamis has extensive experience in civil litigation, where he has gained a reputation as a no nonsense, aggressive attorney who advocates for his clients in the strongest way possible. Mr. Shamis has conducted hundreds of depositions and successfully argued motions for summary judgment throughout the state of Florida. Mr. Shamis has been personally responsible for recovering millions of dollars in benefits owed to his clients over the course of his legal career. Prior to opening Shamis & Gentile, P.A., Mr. Shamis was an associate attorney at another civil litigation firm located in South Florida, and was an instrumental part in helping it grow from 3 attorneys to 31 attorneys located in four offices throughout the state of Florida.

Mr. Shamis grew up in Cleveland, Ohio, and later moved to Alpharetta, Georgia. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Georgia. Mr. Shamis then received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Miami, School of Law. During law school, Mr. Shamis was the Vice-President, and later, the President of the International Law Society. Mr. Shamis also graduated a semester early, finishing law school in only 2.5 years.

Mr. Shamis is admitted and cleared to practice law in both the state of Florida and New York.
