Albert Zachary Levin

I am an experienced trial attorney and have been practicing law in South Florida since 1985.  The Levin Law Group is a boutique law firm concentrating on two primary areas of practice – criminal law and personal injury law.  I represent clients in criminal defense matters of all kinds in federal and state courts throughout the United States.  The specific types of cases include drug offenses, violent crimes, mortgage fraud, Medicare fraud, alien smuggling and immigration related crimes. In addition, I represent plaintiffs in personal injury cases and concentrate on accidents, wrongful death, police brutality, drug complications and medical malpractice, among others.

I am a member of the Florida Bar and the Federal Bar Associations, admitted to practice in every Federal District Court in the state of Florida, as well as the 5th and 11th Circuit Courts of Appeal.  Before starting my firm, I was a Miami-Dade County prosecutor.

I have appeared on national news and information programs commenting on criminal defense cases and have often been quoted in print and interviewed on television on behalf of clients.  

In 2009, I won the prestigious Rodney Thaxton Against All Odds Award. It is given, by the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, to a criminal defense attorney who, “having taken on a particularly difficult or unpopular client, represents the heart and spirit of criminal defense, and who epitomizes the courage to stand apart as liberty’s last champion.”
