The best mold attorney in Florida!

I retained the services of Militzok & Associates more than 5 years ago due to a conflict with a cheap and vicious landlord. The property looked like it was up to code when I rented it, but all sorts of problems appeared eventually such as the landlord’s responsiveness to fixing leaks and covered up m...old growth that led to health issues with huge out-of-network medical bills. I started experiencing wheezing, headaches, and flu-like symptoms every morning towards the end of 2015. A friend suggested that my apartment may have a slight musty smell, but I ignored her concerns until the stove malfunctioned on the day before Christmas and I was shocked after removing all appliances to reset it. The wall was all covered with the worst type of black mold. I ordered a mold inspection the following day, and after receiving the report I sent an overnight 7-day notice to cure to my landlord who ignored the remediation procedures suggested in the report. Research on mold and mold-related health issues is ongoing so you can’t go to any doctor or any personal injury attorney. There are very few doctors that are knowledgeable about the problem and most of them, unfortunately, don’t take insurance. After speaking to Matthew and Adi at the beginning of 2016, I knew that I was in the right place. They were kind, professional, and well-versed. After taking the details for my case, they explained the whole process. My uneducated landlord said that the mold issue was a big scam and never fixed the unit by following the proper mold remediation procedures. I started feeling so sick that I had to go to the ER in February 2016 and by the end of the month I was able to vacate the sick property. In a couple of days after moving out, I felt much better and the terrible flu-like feeling every morning was gone but I went through a lengthy, unpleasant, and expensive mold mycotoxins treatment. A day after I vacated the property, in retaliation, my vicious landlord filed a false removal of tenant case. Matthew warned him friendly and filed a counter lawsuit immediately. The case negotiations took more than 5 years due to my landlord’s unwillingness to settle but the law firm never dropped my case, and in the end, justice was served. After my initial research and personal experience, I can conclude that Militzok & Associates, The Mold Lawyers, is the only law firm in Broward County, and probably in the whole state of Florida that is knowledgeable about mold exposure and clearly explains it on their website. My suggestion to future clients: Be ready to prove your case with photographs, a mold inspection of the property, a urine mycotoxins test with Real Time Labs, doctor’s appointments, and keep track of medical bills. Militzok & Associates will hold your hand, and file your lawsuit, but you must prove your case first.

Fixed my Student Loan issue fast and easy!

I had debt collectors harassing me for over 5 years for a student loan debt that I never signed for. I finally decided to hire an attorney. Matthew was great! He got rid of it FAST and easy. He is very efficient and honest. Highly recommended.

The worst Mold LAWYER that exist.

Do not hire this lawyer, he is the worst I have ever seen. With all mold specialists reports that cost me thousands $ and doctors’reports of our illness, all required by Militzok, who started our case at requesting $300,000 in damages for us, ended up having our case dismissed after 7 years. The ...other party said they had paid a lot of money already, we still wonder to whom??? We never received anything. He is just a super disappointment all together and he thinks people are stupid and don’t see what happened. We know very well what happened. He had the case dismissed on getting back rent money, which was not the main request, the main request was for health damages and renting an unhealthy house with a mold rotting floor and a septic tank leaking under the house. No wonder why we were sick. The house had full of coliforms and mold under the floor and Matthew had all the specialists and City reports in his hands. He couldn’t win our case??? No , He did us no good and he is no good.

Months and months wasted

I signed a contract in may with Matthew Militzok. Hos assistant Emily was in charge of my case. She rately answered my e-mails and the times she did it took her almost two weeks. Communication was extremely hard. I tried calling the office but my messages were never returned. The property manager cam...e to my apartment to inspect a leak and told ne that he did not receive any information from my lawyer. I had sent many e mails to be forward to the association and it was never sent. Recently, after five months, I was able to get a hold of Emily and stated my concern. The lawyer was scheduled to talk to me by Emily. Instead, just sent me a letter dropping my case. 5 months of my time completely wasted. I never dealt with a law firm so disorganized and unprofessional!!!
