This lawyer was disciplined by a state licensing authority.
Public reprimand means the attorney did something wrong but may still practice law. The Bar warns the lawyer in hopes that he or she will not repeat the behavior. Details of the infraction are made part of the public record.

While speaking on the phone with Mr. Covey, he stated that I insulted him and proceeded to hang up on me. All I said was "yeah, right" in response to one his statements. In addition, he came across as not even wanting to answer my questions. Apparently he cannot take negative responses and is very defensive. As an attorney, I would think he should be able to deal with someone making a negative response. I do not feel I was "insulting" as he stated, but should be allowed to express myself whether on the phone or in person. I do not recommend J. Covey as an attorney.
