Mr. Metcalf is Past-President of the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He is the only lawyer in the 19th Judicial circuit to have earned this honor. He is the Past President of the Indian River County Bar Association and the Indian River County Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and has been a practicing defense attorney for 23 years.
Andrew Metcalf has appeared before the Florida Supreme Court and is the author of the defense brief in State vs. Hayes regarding trafficking in hydrodone. He is currently lead defense counsel for one of the defendants in the state of Florida's largest pain clinic investigations and prosecutions. Mr. Metcalf has defended cases ranging from misdemeanors to first degree murder.
Mr. Metcalf carries a Preeminent Peer Reviewed AV Rating for Legal Ability and Ethical Standards from Martindale Hubbell and has been named a "TOP 100 Trial Lawyer" by the National Trial Lawyers. He licensed to practice in Florida state courts and the Southern District of Florida Federal Court. Mr. Metcalf has appeared as an expert commentator in both national and local media and has authored a number of articles published in legal periodicals throughout the United States.

Stay away from this attorney
This attorney is unprofessional, untrustworthy and slow to act at least; inept and negligent at most. The least of our complaints is that he failed to respect numerous requests for ANY type of written documentation. We did not even recieve a reciept for the $$ we have paid his office. Replied last January 09, 2018Having just seen this anonymous review, I was unfortunately unable to respond when it was posted which was before I had actively managed my AVVO account. Assuming this was a legitimate review from an actual client, I hope the author's concerns were alleviated. I was not contacted by the Florida Bar regarding any such complaint. We do our best to take care of every client's needs and concerns and strive for 100% satisfaction. I feel comfortable that the people I have served over the last 22 years would not agree with this review and have had quite a different experience with my office.
