Replied last April 30, 2018"E", as you know I scheduled two in office conferences to discuss your complaints about your settlement from over a year ago. Both of those appointments were canceled by you. I was always honest and forthright with you regarding your lawsuit. I do feel that I should correct what you stated in your review. Your comment about the doctor taking all of your PIP money and not even testifying implies that he was not entitled to be paid for the medical treatment he provided to you. Your PIP insurance is designed to pay doctors for the treatment they render for injuries you suffer in a car crash. Your PIP coverage paid that doctor as well as others who provided the needed treatment to you for your injuries in this car crash. The settlement which you agreed to covered all of your medical bills and liens that were left over after PIP coverage was exhausted. I negotiated those doctor bills on your behalf convincing them to accept less than the balance owed. Additionally I reduced my fee as I do as a courtesy in every case that settles just prior to trial. I have tried many cases in my 35 year career. You were referred to me by a lawyer who was aware of my reputation to try lawsuits but to settle for fair and reasonable figures. I realize that you were in pain and that this accident (as with all my clients) presents a life change which was not planned. I am sorry that a year later that you are not happy with the result of your claim. However I felt that the offer we made which is ultimately accepted by the insurance company was fair and reasonable under the facts of your case. My goal was to reduce the substantial risk to you of receiving a verdict that was lower than what we settled the case.. I continue to offer to meet with you in person to show you why this settlement was in your best interest.
