Management issues

My civil case was handled by attorney Allan Whitehead and lasted six years, during which I paid approximately $71,000 in legal fees for representation that ended with a disappointing low settlement. In my experience, the case showed serious management issues. Between 2019 and 2024, Mr. Whitehead f...iled multiple exhibit lists but never uploaded any actual exhibits to the court docket. According to the Brevard County Clerk’s office, no trial exhibits were ever filed by either party, even though I was billed for exhibit preparation. About five weeks before the scheduled trial, I received a letter from Mr. Whitehead informing me that the defendant company had gone out of business seven months earlier without any assets. However, public records later showed that related businesses under similar ownership were still active at the time, and that taxes were filed for 2024, and 2025. When I retrieved my client file, several exhibits were mislabeled, deleted and listed under the wrong case number, none of the exhibits coding in my client file match Mr. Whitehead’s exhibit lists coding. These issues, in my opinion, reflected poor case oversight and communication. I have reported these matters to The Florida Bar (File No. 2025-30,800-18B) for review. I’m sharing my experience so that other potential clients can make informed decisions based on documented facts.

Honest representation

Mr Whitehead represented an entity on the defence concerning multiple parties in a lawsuit. He is very knowledgeable and tedious in his work. I believe his background as a fighter pilot was a firm foundation for honesty and meticulous work as an attorney. We need more attorneys of his caliber in the ...legal system. I highly recommend that you consult with and hire him.
