Biography
My practice focuses on immigration and criminal law. I started my legal career at the Public Defender’s Office where I handled thousands of cases and conducted over twenty jury trials. In private practice, I focused on family and business immigration by representing clients before the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, Immigration Courts and the Executive Board of Immigration Review. I have also represented numerous clients in commercial transactions, both as a plaintiff and as a defendant, including real estate transactions, contract disputes, property damages and employment cases.
I was born in Brazil and moved to the United States with my family as a teenager. After graduating high school in Virginia, I attended George Mason University in the Washington D.C. area, where I obtained a B.A. in Government and International Politics. I relocated to Florida in 2006 and went on to graduate from Florida State University College of Law.
As an attorney I have used my diverse professional experience acquired in other industries to better represent my clients. I also had the opportunity to live in other countries and experience other cultures. I speak Portuguese and Spanish.
I am a dedicated professional who is committed to my clients’ cases. I understand my clients come to me with issues that deeply affect their lives and future. I will strongly advocate for my clients but believe that civility is the path the best results.
