Replied last April 14, 2020I am sorry you were dissatisfied. I checked our records, and we did send you a complete statement showing all billings, time entries, and expenses. In mediation, the settlement agreements are typically drafted by the mediator (The attorneys generally do not draft agreements in mediation). You reviewed the deal and decided to sign it. We were there as your attorney and were available for advice and opinions. But we cannot force you to sign or not sign. That is not a proper role, and it is certainly not allowed. We try our best to give good advice but also to allow clients to settle their cases. As for letters to other attorneys - it is rare or nonexistent for clients to screen and review all communications with other attorneys. I wish you luck with your case and sincerely hope you can get the outcome you feel is fair.
