I can't say enough good things about Adam Russo, Esq.

I can't say enough good things about Adam Russo. My story - my previous long term foreclosure defense attorney (and friend) unfortunately passed away before my case was scheduled to go to trial in November 2025.. He had successfully defended my foreclosure case for several years and he had said that ...the prospects were excellent that he could negotiate a fair settlement with the lender because their paperwork was inadequate and incomplete, among other things. After my attorney passed away I retained another attorney and gave him $5,000 to accept my case. This attorney did absolutely nothing. He would not communicate with me and failed to do anything on my behalf. I was forced to hire another attorney because I needed representation at trial or I would lose my case. I gave this attorney $10,000 to take my case. The trial was delayed for over six months and all he did was file an appearance as my new attorney. When the judge set up a new court date this latest attorney sent me an email and summond me to his office so he could give me a new billing for more money because he had used up the $10,000 "Familiarizing Himself" with my case. This was a lie because he knew basically nothing about the history of my case. So I fired this thief and started a search for a new attorney. I consulted two attorneys in person explaining my dilema and asked them to represent me. Since my case was fairly complicated, had a long history and several attorneys had been involved in it - not one of them would take my case. Several other attorneys I had called would not take it either. Now I had no representation and was certain to lose my case and my home. I then renewed my search for a foreclosure attorney and saw Adam's website. I called his office and spoke to the receptionist and told her my predicament and Adam got on the phone and I gave him a brief descripition of my case. He said he would look the case up on the Clerk's website and let me know the next day. Adam called me the next day and said he would take my case.I went to his office and gave him his standard (and extremely reasonable) fee - and now had represention. Adam studied my case and when the time came for court ordered Mediation before trial he was able to negotiate an extremly good settlement for me. If it weren't for Adam, I and my family would have lost our home. Thats why I can't say enough good things about Adam. And by the way, Adam's communication is excellent. Terry

Worst of with this layer

I hired the me Law Firm to represent me on a mortgage modification. The attorney I spoke with said that as soon as I sent him the money he would get in contact with the underwriter that same day. I sent Elizabeth all the papers requested and payment this was on June 4th 2020 and signed the contract. ...Elizabeth is a very nice person. They asked for more money in July and sent me a new contract. That seemed strange. They had done nothing. In August they asked for more money again. I replied, that they needed to show me that they were doing something or return my money. I was sent an email stating that they were no longer representing me because we are "not a fit." Nothing was done until July 27th two months later. How dare I ask to show me prove that things are being worked on. You are right Mr. Adam Russo, we are "not a fit." My attorney works for me not the other way around. The Florida Bar should take a look on how you treat your clients. It's not all about you. That was a lot of time wasted on a family that needed your help.
