Frank Edel Blanco

I graduated with a bachelor's degree in political science from Florida State University in 2005, and a masters' degree in political science from the University of Florida in 2007, and a masters' in public administration from Florida State University in 2009.  After several on the job internship experiences at various non-profit and thinktank organizations in Tallahassee, Florida, left the big bend area to pursue a full-time position in the Florida Legislature.

Worked in the Florida Senate for approximately three years (2009-2012), representing the good folks of the former 14th Senatorial district (Gainesville and the surrounding north Florida area) starting out as a legislative assistant in charge of research and constituent outreach before ultimately being promoted to the position of chief of staff in charge of the whole office in the final year of employment.  Following the 2012 primary election, moved to Orlando permanently to pursue a law degree.  My wife and I welcomed our first child into the world, shortly thereafter in October 2012.

I was hired to manage the communications arm of Westgate Resorts in September 2013. My stated goals in this position were to provide public and governmental relations reaching out to potential clients and public sector entities in an effort to sustain a positive, outward image.  

In July 2016, I successfully took and passed the Florida Bar Exam on my first attempt.  I was sworn in on September 19, 2016 and have been in private practice ever since.  My interests and practice areas include real estate and property law, probate and estate planning, employment and labor law, and business formation and incorporation.  When I'm not working, I spend as much time as I can with my wonderful family.
