Waste of money

" I do not care about your peace of mind " were the exact words out of Mr. Pearson's own moth to me. From the start I never felt like Mr. Pearson was going to fight for me. Every time I asked what his strategy was for my case he never had a clear answer. After a year of working my case Mr. Pearson to...ld me the best he could do for me was 2 years in prison followed by 5 years probation. After that my family decided to hire another attorney who immediately mentioned alternative approaches Mr. Pearson never mentioned and he did much better than Mr. Pearson. In half the time Mr. Pearson took to get me that terrible offer my new attorney got me a offer with no prison time. I'm so glad we did not keep Mr. Pearson because I would be in Prison right now if I had stayed with Mr. Pearson. Also, don't let Mr. Pearson make a big deal of his private investigator, he found nothing to help me. Other than that if you make the mistake of hiring Mr. Pearson check the clerk of court site to make sure he does what he says because I did catch Mr. Pearson lying about filing a motion he was supposed to thanks to someone on the outside I had checking the clerk of court site for me while I was incarcerated. I wish no one ever recommended Mr. Pearson to my family. After we already hired a new lawyer to replace Mr. Pearson and take on my PBL Felony case and had it closed without Mr. Pearson I began posting the above review and Mr. Pearson threatened to sue for harassment. Recently I called the police in regards to someone who did work relating to my case back when Mr. Pearson was managing it. The person I called the police in reference to did respond but apparently someone also contacted my community control officer and said I had harassed Mr. Pearson, but luckily I was able to explain to my cc officer that I did not contact Mr. Pearson for a while nor do I intend to, which was important because if I violated my program I could have been incarcerated. The sad fact is that after my Father passed away who by the way paid Mr. Pearson's fees and even went onto to hire my new lawyer Mr. Pearson decided to ban me from his law office , this was nearly right after I told him that I lost my Father. Hiring Mr. Pearson was the biggest mistake we made, fortunately we corrected that mistake with the new lawyer and that saved me from prison, but to think of how much money we lost on the other hand with Mr. Pearson is really sad. Unfortunately We had to spend so much money on a new attorney to take on my big case that we decided to allow Mr. Pearson to finish my two of my smaller cases which I'm disappointed with too because Mr. Pearson also broke his promise to apply for early terminate of my probation for those two smaller case. The only reason I did not complain to the BAR Association for Mr. Pearson refusing to apply for early termination of probation for the small cases is because my new attorney was already working the plea for my big PBL Felony case and I knew I would be on a probation like program soon anyway, but that was fine with me. After all If I had stayed with Mr. Pearson I would have gone to prison.

I am going to respond to this review and in doing so I'm going to make a few points that apply to the above defamation and libelous non sense above, but also to some other points that we as criminal defense attorneys encounter consistently throughout the course of our careers. For starters let me begin by affirmatively stating that the information provided in the review is false. What is sad is that I cannot take it apart, point by point, to defend my position as I owe this person a duty of confidentiality. I would never break that oath. I am able to say that what he wrote is not true. This particular client has been copying and pasting this same dribble to other platforms as well. I thought it was best that I not copy and paste the same response and take it seriously enough to write a new response. I feel bad for him that he can't let me go. I really do, and I assure all who read this it will not end here because this is not something that this person appears to be capable of. My response the first time I saw this exact review elsewhere was a bit more in line with how public relation experts would like you to respond. everything I wrote in that response was also true. At that time I was attempting to be sensitive to with whom I am dealing. We as attorneys are instructed by these platforms to say things like "I'm sorry your experience wasn't exactly what you wanted." "Please feel free to reach out to me and we should discuss why you feel this way." It sounds nice, but all it really does is create an appearance that the attorney did something wrong and that we would love to make up for our missteps. This is not the case. Finally, I would like to take a moment to say that Public Defenders, for the most part, do a fine job. They went to law school and passed the bar exam and, again, for the most part know the law and work for the best interest of their clients. I will always tell people when they come to me and besmirch the good name of the PD's, look, they are busy. A private attorney is a luxury. We have far fewer cases and are in a position to make ourselves more available to our clients. Yes, it is true that many of us in private practice have been doing it longer than some of the PD's out there so we may have a bit more experience but our system would be a complete joke if it weren't for the Courts making sure that everyone who wants representation has representation regardless of their station in life. I'm actually glad this sad situation gave me an opportunity to address that issue. People are actually stunned when I tell them PD's went to law school and passed the bar exam. Thank you to all who hung in there until the end on this one. Michael please let me go for your own mental health. Stay out of trouble and live your best life. Nothing would please me more.

A bad day.

I have made some mistakes in my life. There are many things that i regret doing. In my case, i was guilty, I definitely deserved to be punished. I turned to Alex so that I would be treated fairly. The first thing that I found different about him was that he had compassion and empathy. He eas...ed my mind , he explained the law to me in a way that I could understand. I trusted him to go to battle for me and he did. He kept me updated on different conversations and situations. I had no idea that his job was so tangled. Ultimately, he negotiated a deal with the prosecutor that i didn't dream was possible. Thank you Alex. You're my attorney.

"I endorse this lawyer! Alexander Pearson is one of the best criminal defense attorneys in Central Florida. I had cases against him when I was a prosecutor and he always worked hard to advocate for his client while still being friendly. Many defense attorneys believe the way to get what they want is by being argumentative, but Alex knows that you get more flies with honey than with vinegar. It's all about getting the best result for the client and he knows that. Alex is respected by the criminal defense community on both sides of the aisle and you can't go wrong by hiring him."
