Zero Compassion. Zero Follow-Up. Not a Civil Rights Advocate.

I brought a well-documented case: a security guard forced me out of my Uber under a false ID-reservation rule—then let me walk in moments later, exposing her enforcement was arbitrary. Instead of hearing me out, Mr. Rhodes arrogantly dismissed my valid concerns and implied the problem was my feelings..., not the guard’s misconduct. He never once asked follow-up questions, explore evidence, or consider selective enforcement. Instead, he came off as someone only interested in high‑profile or easy‑pay cases, not everyday abuses of authority. He let me walk away with a brief glance, no compassion or engagement—clearly just chasing cases that fill his wallet. Bottom line: If you’re hoping for a civil rights lawyer who will investigate subtle abuses, question authority, and fight for access and fairness—look elsewhere.

Great experienced attorney!

Spencer was working with me for about a 2 years on this case. It felt good knowing that he had alot of experience and made me feel relaxed because he had it under control. He is always easy to reach and would explain every detail. Made sure after all was done that my name was cleared and everything w...as expunged properly.

Honest, frank, HUMAN

I didnot see him in person, however in a phone call I found him a person who has still kept the true character of a human being. his Conscious I mean. In some aspects, I recommend him however, it would be unfair if we want to judge about others just through one communication. To me he seems, ver...y honest and frank which are very good for a lawyer since you can get the idea in which level and stage you are. He set a very informative consultation on the phone while he was completely patient and without any hurry. However, he bragged alittle about himself at the end of his conversation. .

Thank you for the thoughtful review. I will certainly put humility on the list of character traits to cultivate.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
