Patient and Professional - Got My Green Card

I came from Panama 28 years ago looking for a better life. I didn't have a green card until a month ago. A year ago I met the lawyer Michael Mendez and he helped me to get my legal status after my son came of age and I was able to start my legalization process. Mr. Mendez was very patience with me. I... didn't have all the money to pay the forms and also the lawyer, but Mr. Mendez offered me to pay in parts. It helped me a lot because I didn't have the entire amount. All the legal processes were very easy because of his professionalism and he is also a great person. I got first my work permit in the mail and 3 months afterwards my green card. I didn't go to any interview. Mr. Mendez is the best lawyer. I know many that just want the money, but he wants the job done. I will recommend him to everybody.

Made the Process Much Easier

My wife, who is from Peru, needed to get U.S. citizenship, and thanks to Michael Mendez, our lead attorney at Colombo & Hurd, we were much more comfortable and confident during the otherwise stressful process. We'd met with other immigration attorneys, but didn't get a good feeling from them. In cont...rast, Mr. Mendez was patient and listened to us. His assessment of our situation and the time frame was realistic, and he was honest about what it would cost. His paralegal assistant Lady Gonzales was also very helpful and wonderful to work with. Dealing with the government on an immigration issue is difficult, at best. But Mr. Mendez and his experienced team made the whole situation much easier than it could have been.

Much Faster Than I Expected

After 30 years in this country, I lost my green card and was going to be deported because I forgot to renew my driver's license. This was 4 years ago. I lost my bakery business and had to sell my trucks and could no longer work. I lost everything. My daughters could no longer get scholarships and fin...ancial aid to attend university. Before finding Michael Mendez at Colombo & Hurd, I had spent thousands on another attorney without getting results. It was a complicated case and Mr. Mendez said it would not be easy, but little by little we made progress. He and his staff were very thorough and fast. They contacted me immediately when immigration needed something. They kept me informed and prepared me for court dates and everything I had to do. And now I've got my green card back. It was much faster than I had expected. Two months ago I got my work permit. I'm starting over, but I'm grateful to be able to stay here, and thank Mr. Mendez.

Personable, knowledgeable, and comforting,

I was facing possible deportation and obviously very distraught. Mr. Mendez talked with me repeatedly and worked with my very small budget. I consulted with a few other lawyers before I choose him. He was able to put me at ease and his knowledge of immigration law was very impressive. There were... a couple of times that I left him a message and he didn't get back, but after a few visits/phone calls, he and his staff came to know me and my daughter by name. That made me feel like they actually cared. I do recommend Mr. Mendez :)
