Terrible Experience

I would like to share my experience with Partin in hopes that it will help others make an informed decision. Firstly, it's important to note that as of my engagement with them, Partin and his firm, Law for Life, does not have an in-person office. Instead, they work remote and they utilize a third-...party answering service to handle their missed calls. This setup can make direct communication with the firm challenging, and in my experience, it sometimes felt like they were avoiding us. We initially approached Law for Life seeking assistance with filing for Chapter 7 bankruptcy, believing this would resolve our financial issues. After a brief conversation over the phone, Partin made it seem very possible we could get a chapter 7. However, after paying a fee of $2,000, we were informed that it was unlikely we would qualify for Chapter 7. We feel this information that could have been easily determined through proper due diligence before accepting our final payment. This oversight has led to significant financial strain for my family. When we requested a refund, the firm cited their terms of service and declined our request. This situation has left us in a difficult financial predicament, and we feel let down by the firm's handling of our case. In light of our experience, I recommend potential clients exercise caution and thoroughly research Partin and Law for Life before engaging their services. It is crucial to ensure that any firm you choose is transparent and diligent in their initial assessments to avoid unnecessary financial and emotional distress.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
