Deborah Glover-Pearcey

Initially, I felt like Mrs. Glover-Pearcey was providing good representation for me in my divorce proceedings. I was able to receive a discount because she was referred by an acquaintance, but as the proceedings continued, the fees seem to add up fast. With the fact that my husband is self employed,... it was more difficult to know his income and I could no longer continue to pay the fees. My husband and I decided we could mutually agree to the terms of the divorce and when I informed Mrs. Glover-Pearcey, she decided that she could no longer represent me in my case and withdrew. Not only did I have 2 months before my final trial, she didn't even want to assist me with drawing up the mutual agreement between us. She was payed for 6 months of services totaling around $6500 . Even though she may have not agreed with my decision to settle, she could have represented me to the end. I wasn't able to afford a new attorney. Ethically, a person should never let their personal feelings or hope they can benefit financially cause them not to represent their clients to the fullest.
