Biography
I focus my practice on assisting and defending companies and employers in employment law matters, and I also enjoy helping and defending doctors from claims of medical negligence and medical malpractice.
I have successfully tried approximately 60 jury trials, saving and defending my clients from well over $100 million dollars in claims. My clients have ranged from the largest Fortune 500 companies, to large private companies, to mega insurance companies, to large physician groups to small-town country doctors and to local family-owned businesses.
In addition to handling lawsuits, I handle and respond to Equal Opportunity Employment Commission (EEOC), and Florida Commission on Human Relations. Since 1985, I have practiced in state and federal courts in Kentucky and Florida, handling a variety of employment litigation cases stemming from discrimination, wrongful termination, harassment, and retaliation claims. Now based in Winter Park (Orlando), Florida, I am also licensed in Kentucky, and I have additionally handled employment harassment, discrimination, and wrongful termination claims in Indiana, Illinois, Tennessee and Georgia.
In the 1990's as director of Human Resources for a large regional franchisee, I was certified as a Senior Professional of Human Resources (SPHR) by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).
