Horrible experience. If you already have him I highly advise to move to a new attorney. He will do what he feels is easiest for him and this most likely damage your case. One example is having evidence in a evidentiary hearing for custody. I am not sure how a lawyer can advise honestly that evidence ...isn't needed if it is crucial to a case. But that is my experience and it harmed my case significantly. Unfortunately, the bar will not address this as this was his "strategy" and is not required. Though, anyone in their right mind would know going into a custody hearing without filed evidence is insanity.

In April of 2022, I lost two sons in a car accident. July of 2022 after being harassed since April, 3 days after two of my son's died April 16th my four and two years old, dcf decided to begin to harass me. Immediately I start contacting mr cartelli, before the boys were taken in July I had informe...d him by hysterical emails documenting everything going on before even retaining him, I retained him a few days after their removal. I have listened to each word he's suggested and I am trusting him to keep his word so far he has. He is very caring, a very good person to retain as an attorney because he doesn't do this for the money he does this mostly because he wants to help and he cares. He does email back, he does call back. He's very welcoming to surprise drop ins, he always finds time to talk with me. Unlike a big law firm he's one person, against an entire court room. Trust him, what he says. If you retain him in the end youll be happy.

Mr. Cartelli was appointed to me and I thank god he was. I came to him with a very messy and complicated case against dcf and a third-party. Not only did he go above and beyond, he brought my children home when the state wrongfully took them. Dcf tried every kind of manipulation to get a settlement o...ut of court, but Mr. Cartelli walked through every step of the way with me and we came out victorious! He is highly educated with current laws and policies. He genuinely cares about his client and what is best for them. If ever I would need an attorney again (fingers crossed I don't) I would choose him EVERY time.

Mr. Cartelli helped me with a child custody issue just recently. He went above and beyond my expectations to find ways to get my child back for me when she was wrongfully taken. He fought to the end with doing pick up orders and giving me advice anytime I asked for it. He is very personable and you ...can tell that he actually cares about the case and not just in it for the money. He kept me informed every time he filed a motion or made a phone call about my case. He even called to ask the advice of other attorneys to make sure that he was telling me the best thing to do in certain situations. He gave me resources to help when dcf got involved. I would recommend him to anyone that needs a family law attorney.
