This lawyer was disciplined by a state licensing authority.
Suspension means an attorney lost his or her license to practice law for a period of time. The attorney typically returns to practicing law when the suspension expires.
Harold’s comment: “I wrote a letter in an effort to help a large number of elderly victims of a time share scam recover money. The letter was sent to the victims but we knew the letter would be forwarded to the "bad guys." The letter suggested that our firm would represent the victims unless they got their refunds. It helped recover millions but it was misleading to the bad guys. Lawyers can't be misleading, even to scamsters. Sorry!”

Hal Uhrig is the epitome of a "PITBULL Defense Attorney"!!! I hired Mr. Uhrig in 2011 to defend me in a Felony 1 charge of Grand Theft (a charge punishable by up to 30 years in prison). Mr Uhrig not only defended my rights and my position, but he worked tirelessly with the prosecution for over a year to obtain a deal that included NO PRISON, a downward departure and a complete WITHHOLD OF AJUDICATION for the charges brought against me! Instead I was given (15) years probation, a restitution that was so attainable financially for me and a SECOND CHANCE to have a life! If you understand how the justice system works, you understand that the deal he was able to work out is unbelievable!!! I will be forever be grateful to Mr. Uhrig for the dedication, grateful for the unending need and tireless work he put forth in working with the prosecution to make sure I was given the best deal possible. If you are looking for a defense attorney that will treat you like family, will put your own needs and safety above all, you need to hire Hal Uhrig to defend your criminal charges!

I have used Hal Uhrig for over 15 years and I have always received excellent results from his work. He his always determined to win and does not give up easily. He has been my attorney for many different offenses (that I am not proud of) but he has always gotten great results. I would highly recommend him to anyone.
Jad Brewer, Government Attorney
I highly endorse the legal skills of Hal Uhrig. Mr. Uhrig has been a pillar of the legal community since the late 1970's. Mr. Uhrig was a defense attorney on the defense team of the first case to use DNA as a prosecution tool in the United States. Mr. Uhrig has represented numerous police agencies in the area in the past and was formerly a police sergeant in Gainesville, FL. Mr. Uhrig will vigorously defend his clients in both criminal and civil courts around the Central Florida area. Mr. Uhrig's legal knowledge is extensive. Mr. Uhrig also provides his clients with practical advice and his clients receive the benefit of his many years of experience in courts throughout Florida..
