Adam Michael Pastis

Adam Pastis is an AV Preeminent® Rated civil trial lawyer and a partner at Pearson Bitman LLP. Adam concentrates his practice on insurance defense litigation, medical malpractice defense litigation, general liability defense, and health care law. He has represented insurance company clients and their insureds in litigation throughout the State of Florida. Adam has defended claims involving coverage disputes, breach of contract, bad faith, wrongful death, personal injury and premises liability. 

 

Adam also has extensive experience representing hospitals, nurses, physicians, midwives, pharmacists, long-term care facilities and emergency medical technicians all over the State of Florida in medical malpractice cases.  In addition, he has represented hospitals in general liability matters and provided counsel on medical staff issues such as clinical staff privileges, peer review and physician credentialing.  

Adam is originally from Orange Park, Florida.  He attended the University of Florida where he received his undergraduate degree in business administration in 1996.  Adam then attended Florida State University where he received his law degree in 2000.  Upon the completion of law school, Adam worked as an assistant state attorney in Vero Beach, Florida. 

 

In 2003, Adam moved to the Orlando area and began his career as a civil litigator. Since then, he has devoted his practice to civil litigation with a primary focus on medical malpractice defese, defense of first party property insurance claims, and health law.
