Attorney Riley Cho was born in Seoul, South Korea, and grew up in Virginia after his family immigrated to United States when he was 9. Riley received his bachelor's degree in psychology from Virginia Tech. He later moved to Florida to attend law school and received his J.D. from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. He became a full-fledged Floridian after meeting his wife at the University of Florida. While in law school, Riley was a member and president of Asian Pacific American Law Students Association (APALSA), helping to promote professional, academic, and personal development of Asian and Asian-American law students and reaching out to surrounding communities.

Prior to starting Riley Legal, Riley worked at a personal injury law firm in Orlando, Florida, representing clients in the field of personal injury, workers’ compensation, and homeowners insurance claims. During law school, he was a summer intern at a regionally recognized personal injury law firm in Virginia. There, he assisted in drafting appellate briefs for asbestosis and mesothelioma injury litigation cases pending before the Supreme Court of Virginia and Court of Appeals of Virginia. After law school, Riley intern at Second District Court of Appeal in Lakeland, Florida, where he reviewed appellate briefs and drafted memorandums for the appellate judges.
