Slow to respond, correct my will

Mr. Quinnell took a month and several phone calls to respond to my question on my completed will and errors in typing.

Poor Performance

I was very disappointed with Mr. Quinnell’s services. I was told he was the most knowledgeable attorney concerning Elder Law, but warned by one former client that he was slow and required follow-up. The initial consultation lasted about an hour and he and the two staff members all seemed very knowled...geable. He provided a couple of recommendations and we set up a second consultation. I confirmed the steps I had taken with my parents estate we agreed he needed to follow-up with my mother in the nursing home. It took over a year to make that meeting happen. Mr. Quinnell left with a signed document and another year passed with no results, never filled. I followed up just recently to discuss the status and emphasized that my mother’s health had greatly deteriorated and several things needed to be accomplished. I was told Mr. Quinnell was unavailable, but they would return my call the next day. That didn’t happen and unfortunately my mom passed a couple weeks later with the services never performed. A sizable retainer was provided up front so that’s only adds to the issue of something paid for but not performed. It's hard enough to lose your parent, but now I have to hire another attorney to settle the estate and take more time to resolve something that could have been avoided. I would not recommend the services of Mr Quinnell.

"I've known and worked with Steve Quinnell for almost 20 years on various estate planning, guardianship and probate matters. I call Steve the "go to" lawyer in Pensacola for elder law issues and refer Medicaid planning questions to him. He is very knowledgeable, thorough & an expert in elder law matters. I highly recommend him as both a competent professional and person."
