Shane Michael Dean

Shane Dean has recovered tens of millions of dollars for Gulf Coast accident victims in personal injury and wrongful death claims resulting from the negligence of others. He is a member of both the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum, whose membership is limited to attorneys who have obtained verdicts or settlements of more than $2 million dollars, and in which less than 1% of U.S. lawyers are members. He has also been voted for and selected as a member of the National Trial Lawyers Top 100 Civil Plaintiff Attorneys and Top 25 Motor Vehicle Trial Lawyers, Rue Ratings Best Attorneys of America, Elite Lawyers of America, and Florida Super Lawyers Rising Stars, and has obtained a 10.0 Superb Attorney rating on AVVO as a Top Car Accident Attorney.

The American Academy of Trial Attorneys (AATA), a professional organization comprised of Premier Trial attorneys located throughout the nation, has recognized Shane Dean as one of the "Premier 100" trial attorneys in the State of Florida. Membership is extended exclusively to those trial attorneys who have met stringent qualifications and who have shown exemplary representation of their clients as a premier trial attorney. He has further been recognized by the American Institute of Personal Injury Attorneys among the 10 Best Attorneys in Florida in Client Satisfaction as a High Verdict & Settlement Winner and recognized by AVVO for having 5-star client reviews.

Early in his law practice, Shane was elected to the Florida Super Lawyers Rising Stars list for three years in a row. Each year, no more than 2.5% of the lawyers in Florida are selected by the research team at Super Lawyers to receive this honor. Super Lawyers is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. Shane is a member of the Florida Bar Association, the Alabama Bar Association, the Escambia/Santa Rosa County Bar Association, the Florida Justice Association, the American Bar Association, and the American Association of Justice. He handles civil cases in both state and federal court, and is admitted to practice law in all Florida and Alabama state courts, as well as the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Florida, the U.S. District Court for the Central District of Illinois, and the U.S. 11th Circuit Court of Appeals.

Shane obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of South Alabama in 1998, and his law degree, Cum Laude, in 2001 from Indiana University School of Law in Indianapolis, Indiana. He graduated law school with honors as a Harold R. Woodard Scholarship recipient and a member of the Moot Court Team.

Upon graduation from law school, Shane began his law practice in Pensacola, Florida, by joining a large civil law practice firm in 2001, where he was a partner of the firm from 2006 through 2011. He spent much of the first ten years of his law practice mostly representing insurance companies and large corporations such as Wal-Mart Stores and Sam's Club Stores throughout North Florida, as well as governmental entities such as the State of Florida and Okaloosa County, Florida. Although Shane has always represented personal injury accident victims since becoming a lawyer in 2001, he no longer represents insurance companies or large corporations, and now exclusively represents victims of personal injury or wrongful death through no fault of their own.
