The amount that was paid for collecting the judgment was $500. For that amount, the client received more than $500 worth of work. This included two hearings, contempt proceedings against the judgment debtor, a garnishment, letters and phone calls to collect the amount owed. These efforts were partially successful. I expect that this client will never recover the full amount owed, just the other judgment creditors of the person she sued, will not either. Nonetheless, this client took the position that I was to work indefinitely on this matter. That was not our agreement, nor is that the type of agreement I enter into with clients.
