The law Firm of James M. Corrigan, P.A., has always represented only persons who have been injured or lost their life due to personal injury, medical malpractice, nursing home negligence, or through defective products and/or drugs. The Firm does not now, nor has it ever, represented corporate clients.
The Firm understands that personal injury and trauma suffered as a result of the negligence of others, including physicians, corporate manufacturers, pharmaceutical companies, frequently cause injury, death, stress, and anxiety that needs to be resolved just as quickly as possible.
This Firm aggressively advocates these cases in hopes that our clients get these matters put behind them, including fair compensation, and move on with their lives. The Firm has the advantage of two Board-Certified medical doctors on staff who are available for immediate consultation on questions concerning medical negligence and personal injury. The Firm’s objective is to provide each client with an opportunity to secure maximum compensation for damages suffered as a result of the negligence of others.
James M. Corrigan has 38 years of experience in the areas of medical malpractice, personal injury, wrongful death, and products liability. In 1973 Mr. Corrigan graduated with honors from The Florida State University College of Law, where he was a member of the award-winning National Moot Court Team.
During the first part of his career, Mr. Corrigan was a partner in the trial section in the law firm of Maguire, Voorhis & Wells in Orlando, Florida, where he concentrated primarily on insurance defense litigation. This experience proves to be very helpful with dealing with insurance companies. However, since 1988, Mr. Corrigan has only represented injured individuals and their families.
Mr. Corrigan is a member of the American Bar Association, the American Association for Justice (formerly The Association of Trial Lawyers of America), The Florida Justice Association (formerly Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers), and is licensed to practice law in the Federal district courts in Florida. Additionally, he has been recognized numerous times by the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, which is limited to attorneys who have achieved multiple verdicts, or settlements, in excess of one million dollars. Mr. Corrigan is an experienced trial lawyer and negotiator, and his practice is statewide, with cases located from the Florida Keys through the Florida panhandle.
Mr. Corrigan resides in Pensacola, Florida with his wife, Anne. Three of the Corrigans' children are practicing attorneys. Two are located in San Francisco, one in Tallahassee, and the youngest is now a freshman at Florida State University. He has a reputation for hard work, honesty, and the ability to achieve maximum benefit for his clients. The firm welcomes the opportunity to be of service.
